On 11 August 2011, as part of the supply chain engagement strategy a representative from the BIM-MEPAUS Project Board presented to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia (AREMA) General meeting. AREMA Members comprise of Senior Managers and Professionals from Australia’s major companies, representing most popular product brands and services – both for Domestic and Commercial application. AREMA re-affirmed their endorsement to the BIM-MEPAUS initiative. AREMA welcomed the opportunity in order to ensure equipment models are developed in a collaborative environment for best of breed technical schedules, geometry and connectivity to be resolved. Arrangements will be formalised under a memorandum of understanding between the AMCA and AREMA.
