On 7 December 2011, representatives from the BIM-MEPAUS Project Board presented to the Association of Hydraulic Services Consultants Australia (AHSCA) Victorian Chapter. The AHSCA is the association of consultants and designers engaged in the design, specification and inspection of hydraulic and fire protection systems such as hot and cold water plumbing, sanitary and trade waste drainage, stormwater drainage, fire services and gas services. AMCA believes the AHSCA is essential to ensure hydraulics and plumbing models are developed in a collaborative environment to ensure best of breed technical schedules, geometry and connectivity issues are addressed. AMCA has commenced a hydraulics workgroup and will also formalise arrangements under a memorandum of understanding with AHSCA in early 2012.
