Zuuse proving BIM in FM is the real deal
Zuuse transforming asset management with their full asset lifecycle solution
This year the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA) is pleased to announce that Mr Malcolm Foort, Innovation Director with Zuuse is joining the star-studded line-up. Malcolm has been with Zuuse since its infancy, and has been instrumental in shaping the direction and development of the solution. He now holds the position of Innovation Director.
Malcolm will share Zuuse’s experiences and learnings of taking Building Information Modelling (BIM) into Facility Management (FM) with real world examples of Zuuse customers demonstrating how Australia is at the forefront of the use of this technology in the operations of facilities and infrastructure.
Malcolm has over twenty-nine years’ experience in the software industry, having worked for leading organisations across Europe and Australia, ranging from small, private entities through to ASX-listed National companies. Malcolm started his career in software development, in developer and team leader roles, before moving into roles overseeing product development, marketing and sales to blue chip companies and government agencies worldwide.
“BIM technology continues to transform architecture, engineering and construction. The real value comes when BIM is utilised in the operational FM phase of a building’s lifecycle and then further leveraged in lifecycle management to optimise strategic asset decision making.” Said Malcolm when discussing his approach this year with the AMCA.
Malcolm will be joined at the forum by thought leaders and practitioners from across the supply chain and overseas. Each will provide a unique insight into how leading firms such as Aconex, Leica, Bryden Wood, Turner, McKinstry, Woods Baggot, COWI and Autodesk are utilising technological advancements to deliver innovative best practice solutions in the building and construction industry.
This year’s forum returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre – 14-15 September.
