AMCA signs an MoU with ANZRS

On 13 March 2012, the AMCA signed a memorandum of understanding with the Australian and New Zealand Revit Standards (ANZRS). ANZRS is an initiative conceived at the Revit Technology Conference (RTC) in response to the Revit user community’s frustration with a lack of consistency and quality in Revit families available from Autodesk, content creators and other sources.
The AMCA and ANZRS seek to establish a high level relationship that will optimise both initiatives. A representative of ANZRS will be invited to participate within the BIM-MEPAUS User group ensuring the software and standards provide:

  • peer review of technical MEP standards, generic models and package releases; and
  • alignment with content developed with respect to MEP.

The draft standards developed will be circulated amongst the ANZRS user community in order to align future developments specific to MEP. Both organisations will also collaborate at events planned later this year, such as the RTC on 24 May 2012 and the BIM-MEPAUS Forum on 2 August 2012.
