The Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA) is delighted to announce Mr Kevin Allen, is the latest high profile international keynote presenter at the BIM-MEPAUS Construction Innovation 2016 Forum. Since 2010, the AMCA has been very fortunate to have industry leading mechanical contractors’ from the USA such as J.C Cannistraro, The Brandt Group of Companies, and the Hill Group. This year we have added to this exceptional group with U.S Engineering Company and Comfort Systems USA (CSUSA).

CSUSA is a nationwide company that provides commercial HVAC, mechanical and electrical contracting to customers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.  Headquartered in Houston, TX, their subsidiary companies all across the country can build, service or retrofit systems for virtually any building – from schools and museums to high-rise office buildings and hospitals – even industrial plants that manufacture everything from potato chips to computer chips. CSUSA went public in June 1997, with the intention of becoming a nationwide provider of building systems installation and maintenance.  CSUSA initially had 12 operating companies in those days, and revenues of approximately $167 million.  Now, they have grown to 36 companies nationwide, with revenues of $1.3 billion.

Mr Kevin Allen, Director – BIM and Productivity, CSUSA will share a number of leading US case studies that have been delivered, demonstrating the design to fabrication workflow and how CSUSA are using their fabrication products on a single database. CSUSA is a premier mechanical systems installation and service provider. CSUSA is a national organization with 23 companies, 6 Sheet Metal Fabrication Shops, and 154 users currently running the Fabrication software products on a single database. Kevin is responsible for implementing, training, and advising on best practices for these companies, developing standards within the organization, and providing technology recommendations for the future. In the past Kevin has trained Fabrication CADmep software, as well as utilized it as a 3D detailing and coordination package. Kevin enjoys helping others use the software to its fullest extent.

Kevin will be joined at the forum by thought leaders and practitioners from across the supply chain, each providing unique insight into how leading firms such as Hochtief Company, Trimble, Autodesk, ClearEdge3D, Dassault Systèmes, U.S Engineering Company and  Buro Happold are utilising technological advancements to deliver innovative best practice solutions in the building and construction industry.

It will be held at the Australian Technology Park, Sydney on 4 –5 August 2016.
